Buckinghamshire Adult Learning - Distance Online Learning

Study independently at home and at your own pace and get a new qualification. You will complete an online workbook in stages and get feedback from your tutor as you progress. These short courses are a perfect way to learn whilst looking for work or to fit around your other commitments.

They run on a rolling programme over 12 weeks with start dates every few months. There will be a charge of £100 for those who don’t complete their course to cover learning materials and registration.

Distance learning courses require a proficient level of written English so you will be required to complete an online English assessment and attend an online induction meeting before being accepted onto the course.

To find out more and apply for a place, fill out this short form: Apply for a Distance Learning Course

Distance learning courses are self-study. You will need: a computer, internet connection and enough digital skills to be able to learn independently online as all materials are accessed through an e-learning platform. If you are not confident that you have the necessary digital skills, then please apply for one of the Digital Skills Courses before embarking on a Distance Learning course. The digital skills application form is here

*Level 1 and Level 2 courses are fully funded for adults 19 years or over who meet UK residency requirements.

Level 3 courses are free for learners who do not already hold a full Level 3 qualification (e.g. four AS Levels or two A Levels etc) and are aged 19-24 years. If Buckinghamshire Adult Learning are not able to obtain government funding for this reason, then learners will be expected to pay a course fee of £811.

If you are over 24yrs please contact as we have other courses available.
