Stem Learning - Nuffield Research Placements - Inspiring the next generation

Stempoint East, are again offering Research Placements in 2023, to provide opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to access University courses and stem-related careers. Working with a range of employers including universities, research institutes, Local government, public sector agencies, think tanks, market research agencies, tech and pharmaceutical companies to offer 2-week research placements Nationwide – but these go fast!

The Scheme offers placements during the summer for students in yr12. They must have achieved 5 x grade 6’s minimum at GCSE, and should apply for a placement online (to be eligible, things such as first in family, less advantageous backgrounds and free school meal entitlement are taken into consideration). If successful, students can claim reimbursement of travel expenses and, if eligible, a £200 bursary and will be paid.
